Employee Safety, Health and Wellness

From the plants that manufacture our products to the break rooms in our offices, establishing safe workspaces for our employees is a top priority. We revamped our environmental health and safety (EH&S) strategy in 2021 to more effectively train new employees, strengthen our EH&S leadership, increase the number of safety specialists and ingrain safety into daily workplace conversations.

Our company-wide Wellness Programme helps employees be proactive about their physical, mental and emotional health. For example, we offer biometric health screenings and encourage preventive health check-ups.

We also continued to safeguard Trex employees and their families amid the ongoing pandemic. Actions included ensuring easy access to free COVID-19 vaccines.

Skill-Building

Highly engaged employees with diverse backgrounds contribute to improving the quality of our products and delivering greater customer satisfaction. We invest in skill-building, leadership development and continuing education at all levels to help our people achieve their professional goals. 

Online Courses

In 2021, we provided free access to more than 16,000 LinkedIn Learning online courses for employees in all Trex offices and manufacturing sites. Our LinkedIn Learning Challenge encourages employees to take courses on a specific theme each month and awards prizes to participants.

Development

Investing in tomorrow’s leaders is crucial to our future growth and success. We build employees’ leadership skills through mentoring programmes and interactive courses. In addition, we provide internship opportunities for college graduates at the start of their careers.
